To investigate the morphology of knees in Chinese, and direct the design of total knee arthroplasty for Chinese population, we simulate the surgery of total knee replacement to cut the tibia and femur, then measured and analysised some related parameters.

In order to meet the requirement of the customized prosthesis design,and to reduce the production cycle and cost,the authors present a method to generate the complex surface of the artificial knee joint by CMM(co-ordinate measuring machine).
