铁路枢纽 railway terminal 在铁路各线交会处或与其他交通线路的连接处,以铁路车站、联络线和进出站线等技术装备构成的铁路综合设施。铁路枢纽的功能是使各向铁路线相互沟通,与其他运输方式顺畅衔接。其主要作业内容是组织各向列车的到发和通过、客货的集散和中转、车辆改编以及货物承运与换装等项。铁路枢纽通常设有编组站、客运和货运站,有时也可由一个站办理各种作业。在各站之间以联络线联结,在枢纽范围内引入车站的进出站线路。
常采用的较复杂的铁路枢纽的布置图式有环形、半环形图式和混合式图式。环形、半环形枢纽图式是由各个方向引入铁路线,通过环线或半环线把各个方向铁路连接沟通(图1),而各种车站或布置在引入线上或在环线上均可,为连接工矿企业和市区可通过尽头线实现;混合式枢纽图式是由较简单的枢纽组合布置而成(图2)。上述两种图式常采用在大城市或交通会合点的大型铁路枢纽中。在中、小型铁路枢纽中常采用一些简单的枢纽布置。最基本的是一站枢纽图式(图3),各个铁路方向均引入一个联合车站,但其通过能力很小;进一步提高通过能力可布置成三角形、顺列式(图4)、并列式、十字形等布置图式。中国大型铁路枢纽常布置成环形和混合式图式,中小型枢纽则采用顺列式和一站式布置较多。
