This article introduced the method of geological investigation of Nanling Tunnel karst disease,elaborated the tunnel engineering geology conditions,especially the karst water,the karst water power channel and the harm of karst water,and analyzed the cause that produced the karst disease.
南岭隧道岩溶地下水活动造成地表坍陷、洞内泥砂淤塞等病害,其原因在于隧道施工遗留的导洞长期疏排岩溶水,采用地质测绘、物探、钻探、水文地质试验等综合勘察方法,查明地下水通道位置、地下水流速、流向,针对病害原因,提出拦截、封闭、疏排、填充等综合整治方案。

补充资料:狮球岭隧道
狮球岭隧道是中国最早建成的铁路隧道,位于台湾省基隆经台北至新竹窄轨铁路的基隆与七堵之间,全长261米。这座隧道通过页岩、砂岩及粘土地层,最大埋深61米。在地层压力较大处,拱部用砖作衬砌,边墙用石料作衬砌;在岩层较好处,则用木料作衬砌。
隧道于1887年从南北两端同时开工,由外国工程师定出线路方向及中心桩的开挖高度,由清朝政府的军队负责施工。筑路官兵用粗笨工具开挖,克服了大塌方等不少困难,终于在1890年建成。现在的狮球岭隧道已成为台湾省基隆的旅游景点,游人来此瞻仰,缅怀先人们的丰功伟绩。
