Our research base on the analysis of traditional accelerators, we get the shortcoming of those traditional accelerators and get over it, and then we present a new Bounding Volume Hierarchy (BVH) structure based on Surface Area Hierarchy (SAH).
本文的研究工作建立在对传统的加速结构的研究基础上,对之前的加速结构进行分析与总结,对其存在的缺点进行改进,创新的提出了基于表面积启发函数的新型层次包围体结构,随后又在此新型结构上,设计了适用于SIMD遍历方法的四叉层次包围体结构。

In the process of building quad tree which on the basis of multi-resolution terrain model,we firstly optimize the quad tree of a mesh respectively according to the three criteria of the quad tree,that is bounding volume omitting,face culling and projection error analysis.
基于多分辨率地形模型的四叉树构建过程,首先针对四叉树优化采用的3个判断标准———包围体剔除、背面剔除和屏幕投影误差分别进行相应的网格优化,然后在LOD地形中漫游时,随着视点移动而呈现出的不同细节程度的需要,建立了合适的节点评价函数,并在LOD简化过程中根据节点分割和渲染的规律,提出合适的裂缝消除算法,去掉四叉树中不合理的分割,最后使得分割后的节点达到最优以完成四叉树网格优化的目的。
