姜弘道，男，1940年11月出生，浙江湖州人。教授，博士生导师。1961年7月毕业于华东水利学院(现河海大学)应用力学专业，同年留校任教。曾任工程力学系副主任，教务处处长，河海大学副校长，河海大学党委书记、校长，现任河海大学校长，国务院学位委员会学科评议组成员，全国水利学科教学指导委员会主任，江苏省九届人大常委会委员，江苏省力学学会理事长。
长期从事工程力学、复杂结构数值分析的教学与科研工作，主要研究方向为复杂结构的非线性分析、有限元法与边界元法的理论及应用、结构反馈分析及其在安全监控中应用、复杂地基与上部结构的共同作用、网络环境下的有限元并行计算及其应用等。发表论文数十篇，编著教材、专集、译著多部。曾获国家科技进步特等奖1项，省、部级科技进步二等奖1项、三等奖3项。先后获“水利部优秀教育工作者”、“水利部优秀领导干部”、“水利部重视离退休干部工作领导干部”、“江苏省优秀学科带头人”等称号。
