补充资料：千佛陶塔
陶塔位于涌泉寺门前两侧。该对陶瓷千佛塔，高6.83米，于1972年从福州南郊龙瑞寺移来，用作镇寺之宝。它是宋元丰五年（1082年）用陶土分层烧造，然后拼合累叠而成的。此类以陶烧造的宝塔，在国内十分罕见。
该对陶塔，东边的称“庄严劫千佛宝塔”，西边的称“贤劫千佛宝塔”。两塔形式相同，均为八角九层，每座塔壁均贴有雕塑佛像1078尊，八角塔檐上有四方佛72尊，悬挂陶制塔铃72枚。石砌塔座刻有金刚力士、莲瓣、舞狮等，刻铭文记述建造时间和捐献者以及造塔工匠的姓名。
