又名大号大白茶。原产福建省福鼎县汪家洋村。栽培历史近百年。
属小乔木型，大叶类。树势高大，树姿较直立，主干明显，分枝部位较高，分枝尚密，枝条粗壮。叶片水平或下垂状着生，叶形椭圆或近长椭圆，叶尖渐尖下垂，叶缘面卷，叶面略隆起，叶色浓绿具有光泽，锯齿深明而钝，侧脉较明显。早生种，发芽尚密，芽梢粗壮，色淡绿，白毫多而长。鲜叶含茶多酚18.5%，蛋白质24.44%，水浸出物44.24%。适制红、绿茶和白茶，抗逆性强，宜在福建省红、绿茶区和白茶区推广。
