山西省霍州矿区是全国少有的低硫焦煤基地之一,由于矿区处于郭庄岩溶水系统的径流带和排泄区,地下水富水性强,矿区水文地质条件复杂,加之构造十分发育,断裂构造平均91条/km2,陷落柱平均60个/km2,水害类型复杂多样。
