通式AlR3,又称三烷基铝。是一大类金属铝有机化合物。室温下都是无色液体,化学性质很活泼,如三乙基铝在空气中能自燃,极易被氧化,遇水即爆炸。三甲基铝和三乙基铝一般形成二聚体存在:[(CH3)3Al]2、[(C2H5)3Al]2,带支链的烷基铝主要以单体形式存在。工业上重要的有三乙基铝:系无色粘稠液体,沸点194℃(101.3千帕--760mmHg)。密度(25℃)0.832g/cm3。三乙基铝和三甲基铝可作为高能燃料中的引火燃料。可由铝与烷基卤化物直接反应制得;或由格林尼亚试剂与三氯化铝反应制得。
