概述

ｍ１８式彩色发烟手榴弹是一种信号手榴弹，主要用于地对空或地对地信号联络、指示目标等。

结构特点

ｍ１８式手榴弹主要由弹体和引信两部分组成，弹体和引信体是两个自成完整组件的整体，在引信与弹体结合处又加了金属压片和密封套，因此全弹密封防潮性能较好。

圆柱形薄的金属弹体内装发烟剂，发烟剂有红、绿、黄、紫四种颜色，可根据需要选用，在发烟剂的顶部装有引火药。

该弹发烟剂装填量在300g以上，故发烟时间一般可达５０～９０ｓ，即使在白天自然光较强的条件下，也可充分起到信号显示的作用。

引信为m201a1式延期引信。引信的击针击发火帽后先点燃延期药，经过０．７～２ｓ后点燃引火药，尔后引燃发烟剂。
