湖北曲种。又叫"恩施丝弦"。主要流行于湖北西部地区的恩施、宣恩、咸丰、来凤、利川等县。形成时代缺乏记载，据艺人传说，清同治年间从四川传入或从扬州传入。长时期没有专业艺人，早期的习唱者多是文人和坐贾行商,流传范围不广。1930年左右,逐渐兴盛起来。各地的琴友成立琴社组织,如恩施的清江琴社,咸丰的伯牙会，宣恩的琴音聚会等,经常互相邀集演唱,并形成清江、伯牙两派，各具不同的行腔风格。恩施扬琴的音乐唱腔，属于板式变化体与曲牌联套体相结合的音乐体制。按唱腔、曲牌的性能、结构与特点，可分为"宫调"、"月调"、"皮簧"、"小调"和没有唱词的器乐曲 5大类。演唱者居中间，面前置扬琴，左边有三弦、琵琶、月琴，右边有京胡、二胡、鼓板伴奏。常演曲目有60多段,如《大宴》、《修诏》、《伯牙抚琴》、《黛玉葬花》、《琵琶记》、《怒沉百宝箱》等。
