萜烯树脂是由萜烯混合物聚合而成，结构式为分子式(C10H16)n,分子量650-1250，淡黄色粘稠液体或透明脆性固体。相对密度0．96-1．0，软化点80-130℃，玻璃化温度73-94℃。易溶于苯、甲苯、松节油、脂肪烃，不溶于水、甲醇、乙醇、丙酮、醋酸乙酯。稳定性好，遇光和热不变色。耐酸、耐碱。低温性、耐候性亦佳。可燃，无毒。
