性学名。主要指个体在进行性活动或性行为时心理想象或幻想。它本身是人类性活动的重要组成部分，是获取性感满足的基本心理活动之一。性想象在保证性行为进行方面有重要意义，其失调或障碍可使个体性行为能力受损或完全丧失，有时尚可帮助某些个体适应一些特殊性关系，如使同性恋者适应婚姻性关系等。其内容通常丰富多彩，在不同阶段可随时变化，一般均直接与性现象或性活动有关，并可是离奇的或反常的。但如果性想象长期固定在某一种反常性行为上，则提示有某种性偏离趋势，如每次性感满足行为(例如手淫)均伴有与同性发生性关系的想象，则提示同性恋趋势。
