| 《辞海》 中国一部大型的兼收语词和百科词语的综合性辞书。原为舒新城、沈颐、张相等主编，1936年上海中华书局出版。按214个部首编排，以字带词，词又以字数、笔画为序。与商务印书馆出版的《辞源》同为当时较有影响的工具书。1958年以后进行修订，先后由舒新城、陈望道、夏征农任主编。1979年上海辞书出版社出版新版《辞海》（三卷本），1980年出缩印本。全书收单字14872个，词目91706条，包括成语、典故、人物、著作、古今地名、历史事件以及各学科的名词术语。全书按250个部首排列，附笔画查字表和汉语拼音索引。1983年出版《辞海·增补本》，增补词目1.8万余条。1989年出版重新修订的《辞海》（三卷本）和缩印本，收单字16534个，词目12万余条。
