| 功利主义 utilitarianism 以功利作为道德标准的伦理学说。又称功用主义、乐利主义。主要代表人物为英国的边沁和J.S.密尔。边沁提出了功利主义的基本观点，密尔继承了他的观点并最早使用功利主义一词。功利主义继承发展了历史上幸福论和快乐主义的伦理传统，认为，幸福就是免除痛苦，求得快乐，而利益则是幸福和快乐的基础，个人幸福就是个人的利益，人的本性就是追求快乐和幸福，追求利益是道德的标准。功利主义以追求最大多数人的最大幸福为最高道德原则，提出为了增进个人的幸福和保障个人利益，也需要增进社会的幸福和利益。但功利主义把个人利益看成唯一现实的利益，而社会利益仅仅是个人利益的总和，所以，功利主义实质上是一种更为精致的利己主义伦理学说。 |
