| 义法 中国古代文论一种写作方法的概称，是对于文章写作的一种要求。司马迁最先提出“义法”一词，认为孔子写《春秋》时的褒贬原则和行文特点，即是“约其辞文，去其烦重，以制义法”。宋代欧阳修对史传文学提出“事信言文”的原则。“事信”即是尊重史实，不虚美，不隐恶。“言文”是文学上的要求。“事信”后来成为“义法”说中的“义”的先声，“言文”成为“法”的先声。清代桐城派大力提倡“义法”，“义”所谓言之有物，是内容；“法”所谓言之有序，是形式。桐城派主张义以为经，而法纬之。就是说合乎体制的文章应内容充实而又叙述得体，内容形式不可偏废。他们的观点又与程朱理学和八股文是相通的。 |
