Research on Occupational Status Attainment of New Urban Immigrants

Based on the survey data from the sampled students of the Party Schools of Fujian Province and Jiangxi Province, this paper analyzes the impact of such factors as social network capital, human capital, and age on cadres’ occupational status attainment.

The occupational status attainment of the elitist is the pet and sensitive subject in sociology.

The existing studies have only a little information on its status and professional position,together with some misunderstands.

Apart from the subjective factors such as nation,school,student and huge enterprise group,there are some objective factors such as industrial framework,professional status of teaching stuff,competition between schools,mature degree of educational market also have impact on specialty setup.

This paper, based on the past researches and begins with a reflection on relevant theories, carries out its study on the acquisition of professional status in China in the transformation era, which mainly expatiates the relation and inner-mec.

But in reality,the professional status of university librarian is generally in low position.

This paper seeks to reveal, through the examples of four laidoff women, that women s domestic status is closely related to their occupational status in diverse ways in urban families in China.
