This paper focuses on digging into the relationship between tolerance of ambiguity and effectiveness of learning through the sur- vey of the present situation of college students,and analyzes various aspects of English learning,including listen- ing,speaking,reading and writing.

However,little research has been done about the relationship between tolerance of ambiguity and language learning strategies.

Through the investigation about ambiguity cognitive grade on "mei+quantity+VP",it was found that,(1)people are insensitive to the ambiguity of "meige" structure;(2)quantity level can affect the ambiguity cognitive grade,but semantic feature of quantifier can not;(3)language cognitive level is different among the age,knowledge and thinking.

In this paper,the writer investigates and analyzes the relative ambiguity grade and absolute ambiguity grade of the ambiguous structures by means of questionnaire.
