| 萧太后（953～1009） 中国辽代景宗皇后，辽圣宗的生母。即承天皇太后。名燕燕，汉名绰。辽北院枢密使兼北府宰相萧思温女。辽景宗即位，册封皇后。乾亨四年（982），辽景宗死，辽圣宗立，萧燕燕奉遗诏摄政，号承天皇太后。当时，宗室200余人拥兵握政，向背难测；辽宋之间随时可能发生战争，人心不安；圣宗年幼，前途可虑。她任韩德让和耶律斜轸参决大政于内，耶律休哥总领南面军务于外，并加强对宗室的约束和对吏民的管理，使政局渐趋稳定。注意改善契丹族和汉族的关系 ，在倚重契丹族官员的同时，也任用了许多汉族官员。辽国旧例，契丹人和汉人相殴致死，轻处契丹人，重处汉人，她当政时改为依汉律论断 ，同罪同科 。从统和四年到二十二年（986～1004），辽宋交战多次，她常与圣宗亲征，多有建树。统和时期，辽的国势达到全盛，都与她的活动有密切关系。统和二十七年十二月卒。 |
