性质:无色透明液体。熔点3.5℃,沸点242.5℃(100kPa),相对密度1.1109(21.2/4℃),折光率1.5307(21℃)。易溶于乙醚、苯,不溶于水,能随水蒸气挥发。

制备方法:由苯酚、环氧氯丙烷在氢氧化钠存在下缩合而得。将苯酚、氢氧化钠、混合搅拌至全部溶解,冷却至5-6℃,缓缓加入环氧氯丙烷。加毕,于25℃搅拌45h,反应物用乙醚提取,提取液加无水碳酸钾干燥,过滤。滤液回收乙醚,经减压蒸馏,收集120-123℃(1.46kPa)馏分即为环氧丙基苯基醚。

用途:用作有机合成中间体。
