| 车前科 Plantaginaceae 双子叶植物纲菊亚纲的一科。1年生或多年生草本。叶基出或近基出，叶脉多少平行，不具托叶。花期出花茎，头状花序或穗状花序。花小，常两性，花萼筒状，4裂，花冠合瓣，4裂，膜质和萼裂片均覆瓦状排列，雄蕊4(稀1～2)，子房上位，常由2心皮合成，2室（有时1～4室），每室有1至多数半倒生胚珠。果实为膜质蒴果，环裂、盖开，有时为坚果。以车前属为最大，约265种，广布于全世界。其余两属分别产于北美、南美及欧洲；中国产车前属约10余种，最普通的即车前，喜生道旁车辙中，故名。车前种子称车前子，有清热、利尿、明目功效；全草可治水肿、尿路结石。
本科在系统学上位置，学者意见不一。R.von韦特施泰因和J.G.哈利尔把它置于管花目，认为和玄参科类似；A.恩格勒和H.梅尔希奥均将其单独列为车前目，置于管花目相近处。 |
