兴趣说

    中国古代诗论的一种诗歌创作观点。“兴”指诗兴,即作家在和外物接触中所引起的情思和创作冲动,即《文心雕龙·物色》篇所说的“情往似赠,兴来如答”之“兴”。“趣”则指诗歌的韵味,与钟嵘《诗品》所说的“滋味”、司空图所说的“味外之旨”相通。“兴趣”则是诗歌创作要有感而发:即事名篇,兴会神到,诉诸艺术直觉,不假名理思考,表现上则要求自然天成,不事雕镂。把兴趣作为创作问题首先提出的,是严羽的《沧浪诗话》,其中诗辨把兴趣作为诗之法有五之一提出。这是针对宋诗中以抽象说理为诗、以堆砌典故为诗而发,无疑在当时具有积极的补偏救失的意义。但兴趣说不能作为诗歌创作的普遍原则。
