美籍华裔物理学家。生于上海。芝加哥大学博士，哥伦比亚大学教授。美国全国科学院院士，中科院外籍院士。与杨振宁一起提出在弱相互作用过程中宇称不守恒，为此与杨振宁共获1957年诺贝尔物理学奖。曾提出可精确求解的量子场论模型，在粒子理论、核物理、天体物理方面也有贡献。著有《场论与粒子物理学》等。
