河南清丰人。中共党员。大学毕业。1940年参加中华全国文艺界抗敌协会总会，历任四川成都适存女中、重庆郊区明诚中学、重庆中正中学、上海中正中学、江苏松江女中、丰县上海江湾中学教员，上海军管会新闻出版处审查科长，上海市文教委员会办公室副主任，上海市文联秘书长兼办公室主任，上海群众艺术馆副馆长。1938年开始发表作品。1962年加入中国作家协会。
