| 两极体系 bipolar system 国际关系格局的一种形式。指在特定的国际关系范围内，存在着两个由实力相当的大国或大国集团组成的相互对立的力量中心，其他国家或多或少地都依附于这两个力量中心。世界范围内的两极体系出现于第二次世界大战以后。以美国为首的资本主义阵营和以苏联为首的社会主义阵营形成两个旗鼓相当、界线分明的力量中心。在这种体系下，国际关系的发展在很大程度上受两大集团之间关系，特别是美苏两国之间关系变化的制约。一般来说，两极体系是一种僵硬的不稳定的国际关系格局，不符合战后国际生活日益多样化的客观趋势。随着第三世界国家在国际政治舞台上的崛起，以及两大阵营内部出现分化，两极体系开始向多极体系过渡。1991年苏联解体后，两极体系彻底瓦解。 |
