一种音量很弱，必须借助于电声扩音器而发出半叹息式的柔声和带有伤感感情的歌唱，亦称通俗唱法。演唱时歌唱者距话筒很近，由小乐队伴奏。20世纪30年代起流行于欧美。当时红极一时的美国歌星B.克罗斯比就是这类低吟唱法的歌手。当今流行歌曲的歌手通常也使用类似的唱法。
