东辉阁坐落在浙江台州温岭市（历史称太平县）中心瓦屿山公园西山头，在折毁原山上庙宇而建，本人当理解为在力破陈旧的基础上而建造，东辉阁高35米，为明三暗五歇十字脊顶仿明清古建筑造型，正门南面有山门牌楼，东西有扇亭和游廊等附属建筑，造型独特，堪与全国四大名楼媲美。
夜中的东辉阁更是一粒璀璨的明珠。东辉阁由山门牌楼、扇亭和游廊、主动楼等组成，为明三暗五十字脊顶仿明清古建筑，由中国建筑西北设计院设计，总占地面积3064平方米，建筑面积4080平方米，总高度33.43平方米，共有五层，其中一层为旅游用品商店及餐厅，二层为大厅，三层为茶室，四层为书画活动和展览场所，五层为观光厅，可供游人憩息和凭栏远眺市区全景。阁内装饰突出体现古典文雅，较为突出的有二层的紫铜敲出宝相花、反映温岭民国时期民俗的太平元宵风俗紫铜线刻图及新式彩绘，还有五层的仿天坛的金龙和玺彩绘，南门厅墙上的反映千年曙光光临温岭市的欢庆场面的石雕千年曙光图等。
