国际性志愿服务团体。1924年成立。总部设于瑞士日内瓦，在世界各国20多个城市设有办事处。该组织的工作包括无偿地协助家庭重建,联络失散家庭成员,安排孤儿的领养等。服务对象是世界上丧失家庭照顾的孤独者,特别是战乱中被遗弃的孤儿,不分政治、种族、宗教、国籍。服务范围包括安排短暂寄住及移民领养等。该组织与国际红十字会、救世军、联合国难民专员公署、联合国儿童基金会等国际救援组织有联系，常互通资料和信息，力图使世界上的孤独者得到适当照顾。
