朗然，姓沈，嘉善人。年十八，见嫂氏产难之苦，自誓不字。求父母出家於邑之陶庄净池庵，专志净土。行持既久，闲忙无间。嘉庆十三年，谓其徒福缘曰，吾三月中，已三梦宝池，跏趺华中，往生有分矣。汝当笃志念佛，自然水到渠成，功不唐捐，慎毋错过。至三月念五日，无疾坐脱，年七十一。（染香集）
