On the basis of surveys on college students demand on career consultation,this paper gives an account of college students psychological state and their opinions on career consultation.

This paper discloses the relationship between career consulting and consulting,career guiding & career training;discusses the history and function of career consulting;analyzes the status quo of our career consulting industry;and proposes several assumptions about its sustainable and healthy development.

By means of a questionnaire of career consulting demand in colleges and universities,this paper has looked into such aspects as career confusion,the information expected in career consulting,the necessity of career consulting,the desired result,and the concrete operation of career consulting.

The reason of making a comparison between the consulting market of China and those of other countries lies in the fact that consulting has become an industry of considerable scale in Western countries,and its market operation is getting more and more standardized,while the consulting industry in China is still in the phase of integration and adjustment.

On the basis of actual investigation,the author analyzes the supply and demand of Ankang s consulting market in business management.

To counter the unemployment in China,there are four ways:to draft reasonable financial policy,set up new standard for employment;to make an accurate goal of colleges;to establish professional consultation system,solve the problems of reemployment of laid-off workers;to create new job posts.
