人间众生为感激观音菩萨救难之恩德，在普陀山建了观音寺，又分别在太白山的南麓建了大天童（善财童子）寺，在太白山的北面九峰山余脉啸天龙山山巅建了座小天童（小龙女--啸天龙）寺，意愿观音身边的大、小天童保佑东海之滨风调雨顺、五谷丰登、黎民百姓康乐安宁。
啸天龙寺--建于元末清初，原为柏香庵，后改啸天龙寺。
