As a branch of protocol language, legal language is characterized by accuracy of choice of words.

But the research activity of law language can be dated back to ancient Greek and Roman until today.

As a technical language being different from the natural language, law language has its own features in its absorption and application of the natural language.

In accordance with the phenomenon of the “length and breadth”occurring in the realm of language rhetoric methods and skills,this article probes especially into the rhetoric features of law language both vert:cally and horizontally.

Differing from the“ordinary”language we use in our daily lives, forensic language is a kind of legal carrier with strong sense of authority and power of restriction.

But recently, in our country, we did not attach enough importance to the forensic language function in count, and so did in the judicial world.

The study of legal document writing complies with the need of this jurisprudence development.

This thesis discusses basing on analyzing the characteristics of legal document that in order to make the legal document s using accord with the spirit of legislation, justice and exercising of law, in making legal document we should insist on using regulated legal language, and take notice of the difference of thesaurus and perilune, and emphasis the modesty and impersonality of language s style.

The legal documents are dedicated public service documents which the usability is very strong and extremely serious,quite a part to have to put into practice.
