A new compound N-methyl-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)[60]fullerene pyrrolidine was synthesized by the 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction between the fullerene(C60) and azomethine ylide(prepared from sarcosine and p-hydroxybenzaldehyde).

The sample was mixed with sarcosine as the internal standard,then(derivatized) with o-phthaldialdehyde-9-fluorenylmethyl chloroformate and analyzed on a ODS column at 40℃(using) gradient elution with diode array detection at 338 nm.
