A new compound N-methyl-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)[60]fullerene pyrrolidine was synthesized by the 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reaction between the fullerene(C60) and azomethine ylide(prepared from sarcosine and p-hydroxybenzaldehyde).

The sample was mixed with sarcosine as the internal standard,then(derivatized) with o-phthaldialdehyde-9-fluorenylmethyl chloroformate and analyzed on a ODS column at 40℃(using) gradient elution with diode array detection at 338 nm.

N-acyl sarcosine and the sarcosinates with mild biodegradable anionic surfactants were synthe-sezed from the reaction of fatty acyl chloride and amion acids, with maximum surfactancy such as emulsitying, wetting , dispersing, foaming, especilly their higher safty and lower irritation, using in areas as toothpaste and shampoo formulation, ore flotation, corrosion inhibition and so on.
