In this paper, the author discusses the importance of studying their stylistic features, justifies their linguistic nature from the aspects of lexis, syntax, semantics and discourse, reveals their expressive values in objectivity, accuracy, clarity, conciseness, vividness and internationalization, and explains how to utilize them more effectively.

The purpose is that though it is important to keep the thematic progression of the source text in the target text, certain important habit and needs of the target language cannot be neglected because of the differences between languages.
