四神十二生肖纹镜 古镜之一种。圆形，圆纽，连珠纹、柿蒂纹或花瓣纹纽座。内区以青龙、白虎、朱雀、玄武四神作四方配列，外区为十二生肖纹（即十二地支，也称十二时），为日常生活中常见的动物或传说中的灵异：鼠（子）、牛（丑）、虎（寅）、免（卯）、龙（辰）、蛇（巳）、马（午）、羊（未）、猴（申），鸡（酉），狗（戌）、猪（亥）。通常作十二格排列，每格一纹。外缘一般为锯齿纹、素缘边。有的还铸有韵体铭文或纪年。流行于南北朝和隋唐初期。
