这里是指多层空心超导圆柱体，两相邻超导圆柱层间均夹有绝缘圆柱层，最外层是超导层，轴心空腔是绝缘物。设轴心向外各超导层所包围的磁通量子数分别为n1，n2，…，ni，…nN，即共有N个超导圆柱层（i=1,2,…,N）。
基于GL理论，王思慧和徐龙道计及层间的耦合作用等，给出系统存在冻结磁通时的总自由能可表示成一个简洁的形式：

这里φ0为磁通量子，Ij是第j层超导圆柱层上的总角向电流，$\phi_i=sum_{j=1}^NL_{ij}I_j$是类似于正常的N个共轴螺旋管系统第i层所围的总磁通形式，但其意义与这里情形是不同的。类比之下，当i=j时的Lij称类自感系数，i≠j时的Lij称类互感系数。例如这里对单层空心超导圆柱体（SSC）系统，则i=j=1，此时给出为：
