北京社稷坛

    中国明清两代帝王祭祀社(土地神)和稷(五谷神)的场所。位于北京中山公园南门内,建于明永乐十八年(1420)。
   社稷坛正门设在北面,入正门为戟门和拜殿,再南为社稷坛。戟门面阔五间,单檐歇山顶,覆黄琉璃瓦。坛为汉白玉石砌成的三层方台。上层每边长16米,高近1米,四面台阶,各有四级台面铺五色土,中黄、东青、西白、南红、北黑,以象征五行。中层每边长16.8米,下层每边长 17.8 米。坛台中央埋设“社主石”。坛四周围绕矮围墙,每面有棂星门一座,围墙四边各按方位饰以四种不同颜色的琉璃砖瓦。
