福建泉州清净寺建于南宋绍兴元年（公元1131年），元至正间（公元1341~1370年）重建。
寺门在南，门宽4.5米，高20米，由青绿色石砌成。门楣作葱式尖拱三重，高度自外向内递减。门上建堞垛及平台，原有塔已毁。
礼拜殿在门内西侧，正面向东，面阔五间，进深四间。东墙辟门，西墙设龛，南墙开方窗六孔，墙壁全由花岗石砌。原来屋顶全毁。
这寺的平面布局和门、墙式样都保存了较多的外来影响。
