By taking D(x)=D 0(1-x 2)(x=sinθ,θ is latitude)as the diffusion coefficient,the relations between increase of CO 2 concentration and abrupt climate warming are discussed by using excess entropy production theory,and the critical value of CO 2 concentration is derived when abrupt climate warming occurs.
