受众对传播媒介的选择(audi。nce，sselection of media)不同的受传者对大众传播媒介的不同选择。研究表明，受教育程度、年龄和经济状况是影响受传者选择传播媒介的重要因素。美国学者的一项调查表明，喜欢看电视、认为看电视是最好的休息的人，在中学文化程度的人中有43%，在大学文化程度的人中有26%;认为看电视浪费时间的人，在小学六年级程度的人中只有7%，而在大学文化程度的人中则有113。一般来说，受教育程度低的人和年轻人，更多地看电视(甚至乐于整个晚上看电视)。而受教育程度高的人、年龄大的人和经济条件好(富有)的人，则更多地阅读报纸、杂志。人们随着年龄的增长和受教育程度的提高，一般会越来越多地关心社会问题与科学问题，更多地从报刊以及电视的严肃节目中获得信息。 (林向前撰匪查国审)
