选择性注意(seleetive attention)受传者在接受宣传时的注意活动倾向。在同时作用于人的众多事物中，人们总是趋向于注意那些与自己固有观念一致或能满足自己某些需要的事物，回避那些不感兴趣或与自己观念、需要相抵触的事物。这种选择有时是出自受传者有意识的主动调节。有时则表现为自发的无意识趋向。宣传内容能够吸引受传者的注意是成功宜传的先决条件，不能进入受传者注意领域的宣传是一种无效劳动。 (王序荪撰成立夫审)
