在清诗思潮研究方面,清代诗学研究的水平并不高,研究范围也只限于所谓四大诗论而已,但近来开始重视诗歌理论的研究和对中国传统诗论的理解,研究热度愈来愈高,这是相当鼓舞人心的;在作家论部分,清代重要作家如钱谦益、王士祯、袁枚、沈德潜等十多人大约都涉及到了,其中偏重于王士祯、袁枚等诗论,但其研究水平尚不高;在中国诗论部分,最重要的资料以清诗话为中心,国内清诗话研究者不过二十余人,其中本人近十年间集中研究清诗话,把其诗论内容开始应用于唐诗等中国诗学,关于清诗话研究方面的专著仅有本人所撰《清诗话研究》、《中国诗话的诗论》和《中国诗话的理解》。
