南江城东，翻鹿角垭沿明江北上，约26千米，便是贵民风景区。景点分布在贵民、沙坝、西清三乡境内。
贵民古有雄关两道：一为贵民关，一为木竹关，皆为“一夫当关、万夫莫开”之势。清嘉庆年间，川陕边白莲教农民大起义，曾地这里浴血奋战。 1933年4月，红四方面军反三路围攻时，收紧阵地于此。空山大捷后，红军从这里突然出击，在赵公寨一战，创造了以少胜多的战例，一鼓作气收复南江、长赤，攻克了旺苍、苍溪，并直逼广元城下。
贵民为石灰岩分布区，岩溶地层形成的石芽漏斗很多，造成难以数计的大小溶洞。地面突起千姿百态的石峰、石笋群，真可谓大千世界中的石林和溶洞王国。该地低洼处海拔不足800米，最高达2500米，峰峦嶂壁，拔地而起，直冲霄汉，雄伟壮观。其神女峰、石人峰较之“巫山神女”并不逊色。若遇朝雾萦回，夕阳喷彩，顿觉飘飘欲仙。有“贵民风光，胜似桂林”之说。
