| 北大荒 旧指中国黑龙江省北部在三江平原、黑龙江沿河平原及嫩江流域广大荒芜地区。大部分地区土地肥沃，部分为低湿沼泽地，生长季较短，但可以种植玉米、春小麦、大豆、甜菜、高粱等作物，需注意低温冷害。20世纪50～70年代曾组织复员转业军人、农民、知识青年进行了大规模的垦殖，创建了一大批国营农场，已建成机械化程度较高的商品粮基地，北大荒已变为北大仓。
