关于《山海经》中《海内经》所记"西南有巴国"的巴国地望,笔者曾对鄂西香炉石遗址出土大量我国早期巴文化遗物和安阳殷墟出土甲骨文中多有"巴方"的记载所进行的考察,恰与湖北大学刘先枚教授及台湾成功大学李冕世教授合撰的《安州六器考及附记》一文对"虎方"和"巴方"地望的考证不谋而合,均认为是在今鄂西清江长阳一带。
