| 湄州妈祖庙 位于中国福建莆田县湄州岛上 ，为祀海神 林默娘而建。相传林默娘为五代时人，生前经常在岛上救助海难船舶和百姓，死后，人感其德，称为神姑，敕封天妃。湄州妈祖庙始建于宋雍熙四年 (987)，明洪武七年 (1374)增建寝殿、香亭、鼓楼、山门，清康熙二十二年 (1683)重修扩建钟鼓楼、梳妆楼等。有5组建筑群，雕梁画栋 ，金碧辉煌。庙宇前临大海，潮汐吞吐，激响回音，素有湄屿潮音之誉，是莆田的观光胜地。
