中唐时期,僧俗两界思想上都在发生着巨大变化,禅宗尤其是以马祖道一创立的洪州宗禅思想,如"非心非佛"、"平常心是道"、"佛法无用功处,只是平常无事"、"不费心力作佛去"的理论,使得洪州宗在此期迅猛发展,为众多的文人士大夫接受。

补充资料:洪州窑遗址

洪州窑遗址为我国唐代六大名窑之一,创烧于东晋至南朝,盛于唐,衰于宋,连续达1500多年。洪州窑中心遗址位于丰城曲江镇罗湖村一带丘陵地区,总面积3万余平方米,地面堆积物达4-5米厚。现有发掘的龙窑遗址两座,长35米,现在原址上建保护房一座。1992年至1996年进行的发掘,出土国家一、二、三级文物137件,参考标本2132件,品种繁多,造型美观,反映了汉唐时代高超的制瓷技艺
