1.指脂砚斋对清曹雪芹的小说《红楼梦》的批语。脂砚斋为《红楼梦》最早评注者的别号﹐姓名不详﹐观其评语﹐当与曹雪芹关系密切。但今称"脂批"非皆脂砚斋一人所写﹐各种脂批本亦不全出于同一底本﹐文字颇多参差﹐评语亦有多寡﹐对研究《红楼梦》原本内容﹑创作过程及曹雪芹家庭身世情况﹐都有一定的参考价值。凡脂批的《红楼梦》﹐通称"脂批本"。
