曲解(distortion)一种精神病态性防御机制，指一个人在潜意识中歪曲外界事实，以符合自己的内心需要，这种歪曲或曲解十分严重，以致个体坚信不疑，不能被他人的解释所纠正。曲解机制的典型例子是某些精神病人的夸大妄想和幻觉。例如，某人工作中屡出差错，受到领导批评和同事的讥笑后，他好像变成了另外一个人。他逢人便说，他发明了一种称作“爱尔门”的新机器，它可以代替世界上所有人工作……需要指出的是，某些其他的防御机制也有歪曲现实的成分，与曲解机制的不同主要是后者不能为经验和教育纠正，个体坚信不疑，歪曲或曲解的程度更为严重。 (梁宝勇撰牟文博审)
